This brochure reviews the various programs of Hawker Siddeley Aviation in the late 1950s, when the consolidation with Armstrong Withworth, Avro and Gloster was completed.
The new group found itself with programs as diverse as the Argosy double-beam cargo aircraft, the Avro 748 passenger transport, the Hawker Hunter, Gloster Javelin, Hawker Sea Hawk fighters, the future Avro Vulcan strategic bomber, and the venerable Avro Shackleton four-engine maritime patrol aircraft.
An interesting dive into the past and into the world of post-war and Cold War British aircraft projects.
