Retired since 1 January 2018, Philippe Boscardin had a long career as an airline pilot. Coming from aerial work, he was a captain on B737, MD-83, A320 and A330 for twenty-six years at Euralair, AOM and then Star Airlines/XL Airways, ending with 17,500 flight hours and 3,000 hours in the simulator as an instructor and examiner. He was also in the management of the last two companies for more than eleven years, from head of training, long-haul sector manager, to chief pilot (at Star Airlines). Finally, from 2008 to 2017, he was working part-time as a pilot inspector at the DGAC's flight control organisation (OCV).
This book recounts his adventures, including those at the OCV, an organisation that is little known outside the profession, and about which no one has ever written since its creation in 1953. But this book is above all a testimony to the reality of the profession from the beginning of the 1980s to the present day, with its ups and downs, but above all the great satisfactions it brings. This book is also a travel diary on all continents, from the Marquesas Islands to Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, via Addis Ababa, Los Angeles or Osaka.

Profits from the sale of this book is donated to the SSNAM, the association serving the orphans of merchant aviation.
